Pollinator Week ‘25 at Lazy Dirt Wildflower Farm

Celebrate Pollinator Week June 16-22 with a Bioblitz & a Special Plant Sale!

What is Pollinator Week?

Pollinator Week is a global celebration of the vital role pollinators play on our planet~

Who are the pollinators?

Insects, birds, bats, and other animals that move pollen from flower to flower. They are the reason 80% of the worlds flowers and 75% of the world’s crops are able to reproduce. You can thank a pollinator for every one out three bites of you eat!

By helping plants reproduce, pollinators are vital for the health of all ecosystems! That includes your backyard!

Pollinator Week raises awareness for pollinator heath and what we can do to protect pollinators like birds, bats, and insects like bees, moths, wasps and butterflies.

Pollinator Week here at the farm…

Bioblitz at the farm

Every year Pollinator Partnership sponsors Bioblitz~ a unique project documenting the status and distribution of pollinators in North America.

During Pollinator Week, North American researchers, conservationists and citizen scientists upload their pollinator observations on iNaturalist.

The data collected during this one week provides vital information to better understand the needs and diversity of pollinators. Data also helps scientists and communities to protect and conserve North American pollinators and their habitats.

Where can you observe pollinators for the Bioblitz?

In your own backyard, nature centers, public parks ~ anywhere you see pollinators in action!

This includes Lazy Dirt Wildflower Farm!
